Derivatives (Futures & Options) are ideal instruments to protect your portfolio
against risk. You can trade with index movements, hedge and leverage your portfolio
by limiting the risk through execution of call and put strategies.
|
|
|
Currency derivatives are contracts between the sellers and buyers, whose values
are to be derived from the underlying assets i.e. Currency. These are basically
risk management tools in foreign exchange and money markets used for hedging risks
and act as insurance against unforeseen and unpredictable currency movements. Any
individual or corporate expecting to receive or pay certain amounts in foreign currencies
at future date can use these products to opt for a fixed rate - at which the currencies
can be exchanged now itself. Risks arising out of borrowings, in foreign currency,
due to currency rate can be contained with a nominal cost. If receivables/payments/expenditure
are denominated or are to be incurred in multiple currencies then derivatives can
be used for matching the inflows and outflows. Presently US Dollar, GBP, Japanese
Yen and Euro are available in the currency futures segment.

A Mutual Fund is a trust that pools the savings of a number of investors who share
a common financial goal. Anybody with an invisible surplus of as little as a few
hundred rupees can invest in Mutual Funds. These investors buy units of a particular
Mutual Fund scheme that has a defined investment objective and strategy thus the
money collected is then invested by the fund manager in different types of securities.
These could range from shares to debentures or money market instruments, depending
upon the scheme's stated objectives. The income earned through these investments
and the capital appreciation realized by the scheme is shared by its unit holders
in proportion to the number of units owned by them. Thus a Mutual Fund is the most
suitable investment for the common man as it offers an opportunity to invest in
a diversified, professionally managed basket of securities at a relatively low cost.
MaxGC is empanelled with leading mutual fund company’s and distributes various mutual
fund investment schemes. Our clients can invest in any mutual fund scheme of any
